Coaching sessions
If you'd like support with troubleshooting a particular communication issue but are unable (or prefer not to) book ongoing therapy, we can arrange a one-off coaching session after your initial inquiry and initial consult session.
If you are a caregiver for a PDA child and are in search of general 1:1 guidance on understanding and practicing declarative language and other low-demand communication styles, coaching may be beneficial.
Initial consult
Once we've had an initial intake inquiry and have matching availability, we can arrange an initial 45-minute or 1-hour consult either in person or online via Google Meet. In this session we'll get to know each other further, talk more about your communication goals, and consider frequency, timing, and delivery mode of ongoing sessions.
Assessment of Functioning
The Autism CRC national guidelines for autism assessment and diagnosis recommends that the diagnostic pathway for children up to 12 begin with a Comprehensive Needs Assessment comprised of an Assessment of Functioning and a Medical Evaluation. The Assessment of Functioning aims to collect information regarding an individual's functioning, strengths, and support needs. The information is used to identify potential features of autism or other developmental conditions and make further recommendations regarding a Diagnostic Evaluation.
The Assessment of Functioning encompasses a minimum of 2 hours of direct assessment plus a minimum of 2 hours of report writing (4 hours total minimum).
Ongoing therapy
Depending on your communication goals and support needs, we can arrange ongoing 45-minute or 1-hour therapy session on a weekly, fortnightly, or monthly basis.
Autism Assessment - coming soon
Autism Assessments for individuals up to aged 16 as part of a Consensus Team Diagnostic Evaluation will be available by the end of 2025.
